Nine outstanding Malaysian Information and Communications Technology (ICT) industry achievers were awarded the PIKOM-Computimes ICT Awards 2005 at the PIKOM International Night and Awards 2005.
The awards were presented by the guest of honour Yang Berhormat Dato’ Sri Dr Jamaludin Mohd Jarjis Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation Malaysia.
According to Lee Boon Kok, Chairman of PIKOM, there are six categories of the Awards to honour outstanding Malaysian ICT organisations, companies, products and individuals in the field of ICT for their contribution to the industry and society. Three new award categories have been created this year and they are 3D Animation of the Year, IT Service Provider of the Year and IT Retailer of the Year.
The PIKOM-Computimes Award winners each receive a trophy and certificate of commendation.
More than 1000 attendees comprising senior Government officials, key information and communications technology (ICT) industry players, captains from various industries including international delegates of the Global Public Policy Conference 2005 witnessed the celebrated evening.
