The company started as Digital Integrated System Sdn. Bhd. (a.k.a. DIS) in the year 1996 as a trading house for IT and peripheral products. The next year DIS reap the rewards from its R&D by launching its 1st product – the 56k Starship External Modem. The product has chartered impressive sales and proven to be one of the most sought after modem in Malaysia at that period. From then onwards we embarked on our diversification plans by introducing and launching numerous new products thus significantly increased our product line.
Year 2004 has seen the listing of DIS on the MESDAQ market of Bursa Malaysia (KLSE), forging the holding company in DISTechnology Holdings Bhd. DIS launched its DAB radio line and e-commerce website the subsequent year, winning numerous accolades along the way including the Asia Pacific International Honesty Enterprise-Keris Award 2004, Business of the Year Award 2004, Asia Pacific e-Entrepreneur Excellence Brand Award 2005, Pikom Award 2005, Asia Pacific Super Excellent Brand 2006/2007 Award, Platinum Award for Malaysia Top 50 Enterprise, Pikom Product of The Year 2006 Finalist and Malaysia Independence Award 2009.
Through vast R&D activities coupled with ISO9001:2000 standard quality management, DIST focused on developing its own proprietary operating software as well as multimedia and IT products.
The current market trends have seen a growing worldwide demand for Blue Thunder products throughout Europe, USA, South Africa, United Arab Emirates as well as Asia Pacific.
